Internet of Things (IoT). What is all about and how it affects you?

It’s no longer unprecedented, not something of a hot topic but one of the recent exciting you will never escape from. Some may be familiar with this in their homes and workplaces, we take a close consideration to how IoT it will affect your future. Internet of Things is nothing but making objects or devices smarter and interactive. These objects go all from cars, buildings, homes, phones and many more. Usually, these objects are incorporated with sensors, some with special devices or software that regularly collects and exchange data.
How it affects you?
Firstly, we need to acknowledge that our smartphones will become even more smarter. With Internet of Things every device we often use on daily basis would be interconnected from our kitchens, cars, houses and many more. Hence, making life even easier while some get lazy more than ever. With these devices interconnected together to our thumb, they would be automatically to predict, analyze data and perform some duties on our behalf. It would be like your entire life running on autopilot. Imagine it!
Secondly, services will be more personalized. IoT creates more diversified ways to help businesses to understand their customer patterns and meet their individual needs about products or services. Basically, more customized product and services for customers. They could also predict how their customer patterns evolve with time and seasons well on time without losing much stocks.
More collaboration between developers and engineers as IoT continues to skyrocket further. Currently, Facebook had managed to defeat all odds by creating an open platform for individual developers to create apps which helped them to get ahead of big companies like Google and Microsoft. In conjunction, as more companies avail platforms for engineers and developers to leverage more user content is generated and driving such content.
Lastly, even though IoT is more than exciting the issue of security is still a concern. As more data is sent through device-to-device it could be remotely disrupted by hackers for malicious gains. However, a major big blow in relation to security issue here could be when a hacker access personal data more than of a home-device temperature regulator. As always data security is extremely important within IoT and more researches are being invested into security.
Another issue of concern, that could bite away the excitement in the future is of device malfunctions. Software and hardware can be buggy with endless errors that may haunt us in the future as we grow to depend much on them. This means they would have to be consistently be monitored also to insure they are no major setbacks thrown to consumers by the device malfunctions.

Foremost, Internet of Things is an exciting as it all brings efficiency to our lives. Do you welcome it, share your thoughts with us in the comments!
